  • Dec 3, 2010 : No major updates with alpha 3.5, just a handful of fixes which I've been needing to make.
  • October 31, 2010 : Happy Halloween Alpha Users!

Alpha 3.3 was posted with little to no fan fair, largely due to the fact that I was not 100% sure it would work across the board. At this point I feel fairly confident concerning the number of bugs I've flushed out and am ready to officially present Alpha 3.3, just in time to release Alpha 3.4. You can read about the particulars going into the making of alpha 3.3 in my latest blog post.

Alpha 3.4 adds the much more visible "Category" property to all comics. Now when you post or edit a Comic you can select a category for the comic (ie, a genre which your comic falls into). The archive page has been updated to allow search-by-category and a new "Related Comics" widget has been added to the Comic page (currently this will only apear for comics which have a Category attributed to them), pulling comics within the same category as the current comic (the related algorithm will continue to be an area of work).

  • October 24, 2010 : I've removed the Facebook Like link, because it simply did not work with the site. In an effort to get it to work however I updated a lot of the navigation logic so that linking now points to the URIs of particular Comic resources (and other resources) instead of pointing to pages which display those resources (that sentence may not have made sense... sorry). All that said, it looks like RDFa is going to be the next item added along with the typical "share box" link which will let you share things you "like" via separate applications with ease.
  • October 22, 2010 : A couple cool new features with Alpha 3.1. Series and Author pages now boast the ubiquitous Facebook "Like" link, hooking these pages to the Facebook OpenGraph. Also, embed </> functionality has been added to comics for those of you who which to display your comic on your own page with ease.
  • October 21, 2010 : Fairly substantial updates with Alpha 3.0. The main functionality update is the addition of an Edit Series page. Also noteworthy is the creation of an archive page standing as a temporary navigation solution while I continue to work on the search page.
  • Sep 15, 2010 : Some eye candy added with the launch of Alpha 2.1.
